How to measure Roman Blinds

Decide Placement
– Choose whether the blinds will be inside or outside the window reveal.
Measuring the Width:
- Inside the reveal: Measure at the top, center, and bottom of the window; use the smallest measurement to ensure a proper fit.
- Outside the reveal: Measure the window width and add 7-8 cm on each side to minimize light leakage.
Measuring the Drop (Height):
- Inside the reveal: Measure the height at the left, center, and right sides; use the smallest measurement.
- Outside the reveal: Measure from where you want the blind to start to your desired length, ensuring obstacles like radiators are considered.

2. Measuring the Drop (Height):

- Inside the reveal: Measure the height at the left, center, and right sides; use the smallest measurement.
- Outside the reveal: Measure from where you want the blind to start to your desired length, ensuring obstacles like radiators are considered.

How To Measure Outside & Inside the Recess - A Step by Step Guide

1. Start and finish where you want the edges of your blind and take three width measurements from the top, middle and bottom. We recommend to measure at least 7-8 cm each side of the recess to prevent light bleed. Note down the smallest of the three measurements, this will be your width.

2. Measure from top (where you want the rail to be) to bottom (where you want the bottom of your blind to finish). We recommend to start your measurement at least 8 cm above the recess and finish at least 8 cm below the window sill to prevent light bleed. Measure 3 equal points across the window and note the longest size. This will be your drop.

3. Take three width measurements of the window - the top, middle and bottom of the recess. Make a note of the smallest of these three measurements - that will be the width of your blinds. And don't forget, we'll make a small 1cm deduction from your width so your blinds fits perfectly without catching on the sides

4. Take three height measurements of the recess - the left-hand side, middle and right-hand side. Note down the smallest of the three, this will be your drop. All done.
